I love this little place. We were craving Mexican food one night but wanted to order to go and not drive too far, low and behold yelp came to the rescue!
Don Miguel's was just a hop jump and a skip away, we ordered the tex mex enchilada plate, Chile relleno, and fajita tacos.
Ever since ordering enchiladas from a place in San Antonio who used gravy instead of enchilada sauce I have been a fan, and Don Miguel's did not disappoint that gravy train, and made their Tex Mex cheese enchiladas soo good!!
Now, let's move onto the rice..good rice can be hard to come by, but let me tell you I could eat gallons of theirs. We actually catered their food for a holiday gathering and everyone raves how good the food was especially the rice!
The one and only thing I didn't care for here was the nachos. It was football stadium runny cheese and chips with meat on top. Highly disappointing since everything else is so good.
All in all I will always be a fan and continue to enjoy this little gem. -

Good cheap tex mex restaurant. Their lunch plates are $7 and comes with a fountain drink but the regular menu items aren't expensive either. It's BYOB from 12 to close so that's a plus. The staff are super friendly and greets everyone that walks in and explained the menu well since it was my first time visiting. Ive had the tamale plate and thr enchilada plate (one beef and one cheese) and they both were decent. I would not reccommend the queso, it taste like melted xheddar cheese. It didnt have any seasonings or spices. If you're in the area and in the mood for some tex mex you should definitely give this place a try. I wouldn't drive far or anything like that though.

I ordered Migas and although the flavoring was good, i barely had any eggs! I didn't care for the beans and the potatoes were bland. Wasn't bad just wasn't amazing either.

Have you ever wanted to try the best enchiladas plate in Dallas? Then you have to try this restaurant out!
It was a cold and windy day in Dallas when I suddenly had a craving for some warm, home style cooking, but my Mom refused to leave work just to cook for me (rude). I had to find an alternative in the area I was in and drove past Don Miguel's. The restaurant is nestled in an industrial warehouse storefront in South West Dallas on the border of Duncanville. I figured I'd give it a shot since it was recently highly recommended by an authentic MexiCAN straight from Guadalajara.
Upon entering I was immediately greeted by beautiful and friendly staff. You can tell this was a family ran restaurant by the warm ambience you felt walking in. The lunch crowd was already leaving so I had the choice to sit where I desired.
I was served by a pair of fast and attentive waitresses. The younger lady took my order and was knowledgeable about all of the food. I wasn't being difficult, simply didn't know what I wanted since it was my first time. She ultimately recommended the enchiladas. I made it clear I hated onions and felt they were specifically invented to spite me. She said she loved them. We agreed to disagree and I'm gonna to assume she picked them all out for me since my food came out as desired. Winning.
Though this is a BYOB establishment, I ordered the fresh agua de pepino y limon. When I tell you this was good, it was amazing. Pretty sure they have a cucumber tree or whatever in the back growing next to a lemon bush. Regardless, I highly recommend the aguas frescas.
The food came with the standard chips and salsa. The red salsa was great! Not too spicy and full of flavor. I asked if I could try their green salsa, and it was just as good with a distinct flavor. Chips were warm.
Prices were comparable to fast food restaurants, but but no means was this fast food. They didn't cut any corners and you could actually see the cooks making your food fresh on the stove.
If you're ever in the area or just want to bring your own adult drink and eat some authentic Mexican food, this is your place to go! -
